Items To Make Traveling With Your Dog Easier
Backseat Cover/Hammock
As the owners of 3 German Shepherds and a Chihuahua, not to mention the fact that we train dogs for a living, we are constantly removing huge amounts of hair from the back seat of our vehicles. I’m talking about how we could easily make a king size blanket with dog hair once a week. Then you add the fact that our 70 pound German Shepherd puppy gets car sick. If you’ve ever cleaned that up from your upholstery you know what a mess that could be. We had to do something to get this under control.
We tried several different back seat covers, but they were either a nightmare to put in and take out, they weren't waterproof (puke proof), or they were a nightmare to wash.
It was getting so bad that we were at the point that we were going to stop taking dogs in our vehicles all together. Then a customer recommended the Duke Dixie Pet + People Pleasers Hammock. At less than $35.00 I decided I would give it a try. Now let me tell you, I’m sold on it.
It is easy to install, simple to remove, waterproof (puke proof), and keeps everything contained and off the seats. It has buckles that fasten around the headrest and retainers that tuck in on the backseat to hold it in place.
I take it out once a week, hose it off, hang it up in the garage to dry overnight and it’s ready to go back in by morning.
It’s comfortable for the dogs. It’s slip proof to keep them from sliding during turns and overall does a great job. At $34.98 it’s a steal!
